PRPLI’s Outreach Committee seeks to promote public relations in order to advance the profession’s role in marketing and management; demonstrate its business value; and encourage and mentor the next generation of PR practitioners. Presentations are targeted at regional business, trade, and not-for-profit organizations and to the education community to demonstrate the value of PR as a marketing-communications vehicle.

PRPLI “evangelists” have spoken before groups like Eastern Long Island Executives Business Roundtable, Great Neck Lawyers Association, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Riverhead Chamber of Commerce and Hauppauge Industrial Association. On the education front, speakers have appeared before the Nassau Directors of Guidance and Hauppauge High School.
