Each year, PRPLI awards up to two financial scholarship awards to college students who have a passion for public relations.

Criteria:
- Scholarship is open to full-time college juniors, seniors and post-graduate students at four-year colleges/universities, and full-time sophomores attending a community college whose career objective is to work in the area of public relations, communications and/or marketing.
- Applicant’s permanent residence must be on Long Island (applicant may attend college on Long Island or elsewhere, but applicant’s primary residence must be located in Nassau or Suffolk county)
- Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 grade average and currently be studying public relations, communications and/or marketing
- Scholarship applicant must have an internship in a public relations/communications capacity at a business, not-for-profit organization or government agency during the Summer/Fall 2011 or Spring 2012 semester
Winner(s) of the PRPLI scholarship award will receive a check for $1,000, which will be presented at the annual PRPLI Awards Dinner.
